Relaxing getaway with great staff

Had a chill 3-night stay. The hotel's super quiet despite a wedding happening nearby, which was a nice surprise. The front desk staff were fab and super friendly, making everything better! We enjoyed breakfast in the lounge but had to wait a bit. Wish they had more staff during peak times. it felt a bit understaffed sometimes.

The room was spacious and clean, I mean like, really clean. Enjoyed a lovely outdoor seating area with stunning views that made our evening sit back and relax. There's something calming about that, ya know? And I can't forget about the breakfast. hands down the best I've had in ages, cooked to perfection.

It wasn't exactly budget-friendly but still manageable.

Several maintenance issues popped up—like needing an upgrade, with bad paintwork and a bathroom that felt downright neglected. The shower barely warmed up, and the leaking problems added to the frustration. Dining was less than stellar. breakfast pricing discrepancies and long waits for orders left a lot to be desired. The overall vibe of the bar area needed a sprucing up, and the food presentation missed the mark too. It all felt lackluster, especially for a getaway that should be more memorable.

great access to parks and historical landmarks nearby

I really enjoyed exploring the nearby Whitchurch Heritage Centre, which is almost 2 km away, and spending a relaxing afternoon at Alderford Lake, just over 3 km from the hotel, both of which made my weekend getaway delightful. the room I stayed in was quite comfortable, perfect for a single traveler like me who loves discovering new places on foot. the overall condition of the facilities could use some updates.

Amazing golf experience but room can be improved

I had a lovely time enjoying the beautiful golf courses and the friendly staff made our stay enjoyable. The restaurant served delicious food, especially the steak, which was top-notch. the room we stayed in could use some updating as it felt a bit dated and lacked some amenities I expected for the price.
